Day Camps

 

As the name suggests, these are a one day camp that start at 8.00 am and finish at 3.00 pm. These camps are aimed at children aged 5-13 years, however, older children are more than welcome to attend. At the commencement of the days activities, all participants are grouped according to their ability and experience. The children will then have Group Lessons in riding and horsemanship before lunch and then participate in a Gymkana (games on horseback) in the afternoon.

 

Camp Dates for this coming July 2010 School Holidays are:

Tues 6th, Wed 7th, Thurs 8th, Fri 9th, Tues 13th, Wed 14th, Thurs 15th and Fri 16th July 2010.

Overnight Camps

 

As you can tell by the name these camps are for those who are totally dedicated to horses or even for those who are curious about horses!

These camps are for  Intermediate riders

 

Camps will be run on the following dates:

18th June- Intermediate

23rd July-Intermediate

 

Beginners Overnight Camp:

Arrive at 5pm friday night. Children are shown to sleeping area and prepare for 1hr lesson. After 1 hr lesson there is a sausage sizzle for dinner and then children bunk down for the evening in the stables. At dawn children prepare their horses for a 1hr dawn lesson then breakfast is served. Children are picked up at 8am

Intermediate Overnight Camp:

Arrive at 5pm friday night. Children are shown to sleeping area and prepare for 1hr lesson. After 1hr lesson there is a sausage sizzle for dinner and then children bunk down for the evening in the stables.At dawn children prepare their horses for a 1hr trail ride in the National Park. Breakfast is then served and children are picked up at 8am.
